The milling machine saves days of work

It is difficult for those of us in America to understand the revolutionary impact of a machine for processing the grains that are staple foods in the village. Grain previously was crushed by hand, with large wooden morters. This activity required most of the working time of the women of the village. Now, the women have substantial free time that can be used for education, child-rearing, or other crafts. Truly this one intervention has moved them to a new level of livelihood.
